Legal Authority:
The Board of Supervisors action on March 8, 2005 created the Kern County Table Grape Pest and Disease Control District pursuant to Table Grape Pest and Disease District Law (Food and Agriculture Code section 6047.60 et seq.); December 20, 2005, pursuant to Kern County Board of Supervisors Resolution 2005-525 the Kern and Tulare County Districts were consolidated into the Consolidated Central Valley Table Grape Pest and Disease Control District (District) (Food and Agriculture Code section 6047.109); February 22, 2011 reauthorized; October 20, 2015 reauthorized; September 22, 2020 reauthorized.
District Board:
The District board is comprised of nine (9) members who are either an owner of, or designee of an owner of, acreage included in the district that is devoted, in whole or in part, to the growing of table grapes. The board members serve a two-year, staggered term.
Duties:
Take all actions necessary to control, eradicate, remove or prevent the spread of the glassy-winged sharpshooter or Pierce’s disease, or other designated pests and diseases injurious to table grapes. See Food & Ag Code Section 6047.87 for more detailed duties.
Meeting Place and Time:
First Thursday of February, March, April, July, October and November at 1:30 pm in the Tulare County Agricultural Commissioner’s office conference room at 4437 S. Laspina Street, Tulare, CA 93274 or currently due to COVID restrictions, via RingCentral video conference call.

Requirements: Oath & Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) is required (Form 700 to be filed with the District)
